    Union Pacific and E.O. Smith Education Center teamed up on May 24 to promote train track safety and teach students how to properly cross the tracks. Students who correctly crossed the tracks were rewarded with $10 movie passes.

    The Yates High School basketball team came together with the Bellaire High School basketball team to hold a fundraiser basketball game to help raise money for Tobi Oyedeji funeral expenses, who died in a car crash Sunday.

    According to a Chronicle story by Peggy O'Hare, a Houston 18-year-old was arrested Friday morning while trying to cross the Mexican border back into the U.S. after he was charged with the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy during a melee outside a downtown Houston nightclub last weekend, police said.
