    According to a story by Lindsay Wise, Houston's Riverside General Hospital will receive a $1 million grant from the Department of Defense to treat active-duty troops and veterans for post-traumatic stress disorder.

    Man sought after triple homicide in home

    Investigators are looking for a man wanted in the deaths of three people at a home in south Houston. The three, two women and a man, were found dead at about 11:20 a.m. on Friday at a home in the 9300 block of Randolph, near Hobby Airport.

    According to a story by Chronicle sport reporter Sam Khan Jr., Joseph Young has asked Providence to release him from the national letter of intent he signed in November. The story comes from Young's father, Michael Young, the director of basketball operations and performance enhancement at UH.

    According to a post by J.R. Gonzales on the Bayou City History blog, 1958 was a busy year for Houston police. By April 18, there were already 188 robberies. One of those was at a Minimax at the corner of Navigation and Wayside.

    5 years after fatal shooting, case still unsolved

    Authorities hope the public can help them solve the fatal shooting of a man who was found inside his pickup in south Houston five years ago today. Henry “Sonny” Syptak, Jr. was found shot in the 3700 block of Old Spanish Trail about 3 a.m. June 3, 2005.
