    The University of Houston's International Piano Festival remains the city's main celebration of the piano recital. This year's event was sterling. The discovery was the Swiss-born, American-raised and -trained Gilles Vonsattel.

    According to a Chronicle article by Jeannie Kever, tuition at the main University of Houston campus will go up 3.95 percent next semester, with similar rises in tuition at other UH campuses around the city.
