With four area teams in action in the boys basketball playoffs, there were plenty of postseason dreams alive. At the end of the night, only Yates remains alive.
The Lions pounded Jones 114-80 Monday night to advance to the Class 4A Region III semifinals. Yates will play Huntsville, a winner over Del Valle Monday night, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Merrell Center in Katy.
Wheatley dropped its quarterfinal contest Monday night to La Marque in a shootout, 100-91 in Pasadena.
