HISD has announced that six of its schools will be giving free H1N1 vaccinations this Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The vaccinations will be given out in a first come, first serve basis. Four of the six schools are in the East End/Third Ward area.
Wheatley High School, 4801 Providence, 77020
Yates High School, 3703 Sampson, 77004
Milby High School, 1601 Broadway, 77012
Woodson Middle School, 10720 Southview, 77047
The HISD release included a reminder that the Houston Health Department also offers free vaccines on a first come, first serve basis at several sites, including three in the area.
Lyons Health Center, 5602 Lyons, 77020
Magnolia Health Center, 7037 Capitol, 77011
Sunnyside Multi-Service Center, 4605 Wilmington, 77051
The HHD sites operate on Mondays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesdays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
