From a press release:
The National Kidney Foundation of SE Texas will conduct a FREE health screening for people at increased risk for kidney disease on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The screening is part of the National Kidney Foundation's Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) designed to identify and educate people at risk--those with diabetes, high blood pressure or a family history of kidney disease.
KEEP screening participants will have their weight and blood pressure checked. Medical professionals will collect blood and urine samples from those who require further testing. A physician will be on-site to review results with participants. Eligible participants must be at least 18 years of age, should be diabetic or hypertensive or have a family history of these diseases of kidney failure. If they meet any one of these criteria, they are eligible and should call for an appointment, 713-952-5499 or 800-961-5683. Walk-ins must wait for an available space. We encourage all to call for an appointment.
The mission of the National Kidney Foundation is to bring hope and help to the 20 million Americans who suffer from kidney and urinary diseases.
